BLACK & WHITE
Rather than focusing on color, Black & White emphasized line, surface, and material, inviting viewers to experience abstraction in its most essential form. The exhibition offered a compelling insight into the diversity and richness of non-figurative art, where contrast becomes a powerful visual language.
The exhibition Black & White brought together a selection of artists whose work explores the expressive potential of contrast, reduction, and formal clarity. Centered around the dialogue between black and white, the presentation highlighted how limitation in color can lead to greater intensity in composition, rhythm, and structure.
Spanning different generations and artistic approaches, the exhibition included works ranging from geometric abstraction to lyrical and gestural expressions. Artists such as Jo Delahaut, Marc Verstockt, and André Goffin demonstrated a rigorous engagement with form and balance, while others, including Antoine Mortier and Serge Vandercam, revealed a more intuitive and expressive use of monochrome.
