Célice en roue libre...
In 2020, the Maurice Verbaet Gallery in Knokke continued to highlight the work of Pierre Célice through a series of presentations, following a major solo exhibition dedicated to the artist in 2019. Building on this momentum, Célice’s work remained an important presence within the gallery’s programme, both in group exhibitions and more focused displays such as Célice en roue libre.
Driven by Maurice Verbaet’s deep appreciation for Célice’s oeuvre, the gallery dedicated several solo exhibitions to the artist over the years, underlining a long-standing commitment to his work.
Through these exhibitions, the Maurice Verbaet Gallery reaffirmed its role in preserving and promoting Célice’s legacy, situating his work within the broader context of Belgian and European post-war abstraction.
