Overview
Connexions One, Maurice Verbaet Art Center

This exhibition is conceived as a panorama of post-war Belgian artistic production. Through the works of around forty artists, visitors are invited to discover the specific features and distinctive characteristics of art history in Belgium during the period known as the “Trente Glorieuses.”

Rather than highlighting a single movement or a few emblematic figures, the approach is guided by an exploration of the diversity at the heart of this particularly prolific era. Groupings and strict classifications are deliberately set aside in favor of thematic perspectives that reflect the connections established between the various protagonists active at the time.

As visitors move through the exhibition, it becomes clear how rich these intersections are, generating nuances that define the complexity of Belgian artistic creation.
