Luxembourg Art Week
A selection where contrasts met—across time, media and ideas—forming a subtle yet compelling dialogue.
At Luxembourg Art Week 2022, we presented a selection of works spanning the 20th century to contemporary practice, bringing together paintings, works on paper, prints and sculpture.
The presentation combined historical figures such as Léon Devos and Willem Paerels with postwar and contemporary artists including Amedee Cortier, René Guiette, Jan Fabre and Claude Viallat. This juxtaposition highlighted evolving approaches to form, material and image, ranging from geometric abstraction to more expressive and conceptual practices.
Particular attention was given to works on paper and printmaking, notably a large group of linocuts by Lukasz, alongside drawings and gouaches that revealed more immediate and experimental aspects of artistic production.
Sculptural works, including pieces by André Willequet, complemented the presentation, emphasizing volume and material presence within the overall display.
