Brafa Art Fair
At BRAFA 2023, the Maurice Verbaet Gallery once again presented a carefully considered selection of Belgian post-war art, continuing its long-standing engagement with the fair. The presentation brought together a group of works that highlighted the breadth and complexity of artistic production in Belgium after 1945, with a particular focus on the work of Tapta.
Tapta’s practice formed a central thread within the booth, emphasizing her pioneering approach to textile and sculptural form. Her works, defined by their tactile quality and spatial presence, introduced a dynamic dialogue between material, movement, and environment. Positioned alongside other key figures, her oeuvre underscored the experimental spirit that shaped the post-war period.
